Rent or Buy?
I tend to always rent my textbooks. I primarily use BookRenter or Textbooks.com. I have had luck with both of these websites. I find renting the books to be significantly cheaper than buying them from my university bookstore.
I like to rent books that are not related to my major because I know that I will never use the book again. If a rental is not available then I would recommend buying an used book.
E-book or Physical Book?
I prefer having a book in my hand to refer to and be able to highlight. What do you prefer?
How to save money:
- Search online instead of your school bookstore. You can usually find the books cheaper online
- Search for promo codes! You can usually save a percentage or receive free shipping!
