Freshman Orientation can be stressful! New people, new setting, new you! Here are my essentials from my Freshman Orientation. Be sure to share yours in the comments if I left any out.
- ID - license, state issued ID. At my orientation we had our student ID picture taken. I would recommend bringing your license or a state issued ID so the staff can confirm your identity.
- Paperwork - Don't forget to bring any paperwork such as your housing deposit, emergency contacts etc.
- Sleeping bag - I brought my sheets to sleep on during the night, but I would recommend just using your sleeping bag and laying it on top of the mattress.
- Alarm clock - During Orientation you are on a tight schedule. Make sure you have an alarm clock (I just used my phone) so you can wake up and be ready for the day!
- Shower shoes and toiletries - I just used sandals as my shower shoes.
- Notebook+ pen - I sat through a lot of different presentations during orientation, so having a notebook and pen helps so you can take notes... and doodle ;)
- Backpack/bag - I would bring a backpack to take all the stuff with you for orientation. Also bring a small purse to bring with you for the daily activities.
- Comfy shoes - Wear comfy shoes! I ended up taking a tour of the town in uncomfy gladiator sandals and regretted it the next day.
