College Freshman Orientation Essentials!

Freshman Orientation can be stressful!  New people, new setting, new you!  Here are my essentials from my Freshman Orientation.  Be sure to share yours in the comments if I left any out.
  1. ID - license, state issued ID.  At my orientation we had our student ID picture taken.  I would recommend bringing your license or a state issued ID so the staff can confirm your identity.
  2. Paperwork - Don't forget to bring any paperwork such as your housing deposit, emergency contacts etc.
  3. Sleeping bag - I brought my sheets to sleep on during the night, but I would recommend just using your sleeping bag and laying it on top of the mattress.
  4. Alarm clock - During Orientation you are on a tight schedule.  Make sure you have an alarm clock (I just used my phone) so you can wake up and be ready for the day!
  5. Shower shoes and toiletries - I just used sandals as my shower shoes.
  6. Notebook+ pen - I sat through a lot of different presentations during orientation, so having a notebook and pen helps so you can take notes... and doodle ;)
  7. Backpack/bag - I would bring a backpack to take all the stuff with you for orientation. Also bring a small purse to bring with you for the daily activities.
  8. Comfy shoes - Wear comfy shoes!  I ended up taking a tour of the town in uncomfy gladiator sandals and regretted it the next day.
